Invisible Creature
Initially I was disappointed to see Invisible Creature change their site, but after browsing some of their work on the new site I definitely prefer the new layout for their portfolio. That seems to be the way I absorb any kind of change: immediately hate it but then warm up to it as I think about it more and more. (via Glasshoff)

“Right next to this ‘GET STARTED TODAY’ button, could we add a sentence like ‘click here now’ and add an arrow pointing to the button… I’m just worried that people don’t know where to click the button”
I can relate to this one only too much… I don’t know whether to laugh or cry. Too much of me says cry.

I had to do something, my old site was getting stagnant and old. Now it’s merely mostly pointless, simple and has nothing to be out-of-date; but looks decent.
I like it.
Please design a logo for me. With pie charts. For free.
I tweeted this yesterday, but worth repeating. This is honestly one of the funniest things I have read in a long time, and I can relate to it from a designer’s point of view.

Word!
- Prospective client: $400 for a logo?! Why are you so expensive? My nephew has Photoshop—I can just get him to do it.
- Me: Does your nephew have Microsoft Word?
- Prospective client: Yes.
- Me: Then have him write you a novel while he’s at it.
“ There are two more small changes James recommended we make. First, please add a black border around the red lettering to make it stand out better. It’s probably much easier for you to do that in Photoshop than it would me for me to do it pixel by pixel in Paint. Also, aside from making a design with the red letters outlined in black, you need to make an additional design with the entire background black, letters in red. Second, could you make the text larger so it touches both ends of the billboard? It would be great if you could email it straight to James. I believe you have his email address. Thanks.

I hate clients!
Today I released my fifth record in my little label experiment. I am extremely proud to present Slowmotions Quick Potions in both free digital download or limited edition CD formats. The music contained within continues to grow on me and I’ve been listening to it obsessively for months. I’m also pleased to say I designed the entire package and it could not have turned out better.
Please spread the word, I think everyone you know should enjoy this record.
Yes Rev, people do still use the word ‘sweet’.
